A client relocating to new office space in Bournemouth needed more than a design service. With Design and Build contractor AxisHouse appointed to develop the design, detail and carry out the build, the client needed someone independent to represent their interests throughout delivery and keep the project on track.

We took on the role of design guardian and contract administrator, acting as the main point of liaison between the client and the contractor. This covered forming the building contract, administering it through the build, and carrying out inspections, snagging and sign off as the fit out neared completion, giving the client confidence that the finished space matched what had been agreed.

The result was a smooth handover into a new, fully fitted office, with the client's interests protected at every stage of a Design and Build delivery. It's a role we take on regularly for businesses relocating or fitting out commercial space, where having an independent contract administrator makes all the difference to how the project runs.
